I made Molly a cat hoodie quite some time ago. It’s been run through pattern testing and it will be up on Craft Leftovers tomorrow.
It just happened so well that when I woke up this morning snow was covering the ground. Perfect! Jason and I slipped the hoodie on and took her outside. She was actually really curious about all the snow. I suppose it’s been a year since the last time she saw it.

Hi, I drifted across your blog tonight and after reading about your weaving adventures and fiber endeavors wanted to ask if you had ever heard of the John C. Campbell Folk School in NC. I gathered from your posting that you’ve recently finished your undergrad degree in Art and are launching yourself as an artist. Anyway, not that you have to check this out, but one of the coolest things about John C. Campbell is that they have a lot of classes that would seem to mesh with your current artistic interests. The other really cool thing about them as an organization is that they do have workstudy postions available (I don’t know if all of their slots for the next year are full or not but you can check the online catalog) where you assist/work at the school and basically earn the opportunity to take classes at the school in things like weaving, dying, quilting, spinning, woodworking, basket making, music, and the list goes on. The website for them is By the way, I don’t work for them or anything, I just happened to be lucky enough to take a week long advanced doll making class there a few years back (funded by my very lovely parents) as I don’t earn enough in my day job to pay my own way. Anyway, keep going with your art and your very entertaining blog. Yours, LynAnne Smucker
